Privacy policy
ClaimThread is designed to organize consumer claim and dispute information privately on your device.
Information ClaimThread handles
You may choose to enter or attach case titles, company names, reference numbers, amounts, notes, dates, deadlines, timeline entries, photos, scans, and documents. ClaimThread processes and stores this content locally on your device.
Information we collect
ClaimThread does not collect data from the app.
- No account or sign-in is required.
- We do not operate a ClaimThread backend or cloud database.
- We do not receive your case records or attachments.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, attribution, tracking, remote AI, or remote crash-reporting services.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
Camera, photos, files, and notifications
Camera access is optional and used only when you choose to scan a document. When you choose a photo or file, ClaimThread uses Apple's system selection tools and copies that item into the app's local storage.
Notification permission is requested only after you choose the reminder feature. Reminder text is generic. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Exporting and sharing
ClaimThread lets you initiate an export through Apple's system share sheet. Nothing is exported unless you choose to do so. The destination you select may process the export under its own privacy policy. We do not receive the exported content.
Device backups, retention, and deletion
Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, iOS may include ClaimThread data in a device or iCloud backup. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple.
Your information remains on your device until you delete a case or delete the app. Because we do not receive your in-app content, we cannot retrieve, restore, or delete it for you.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send so we can respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send claim documents or sensitive case information unless necessary and appropriately redacted.
Security, children, and changes
ClaimThread relies on iOS security protections and stores data within the app's local container. Protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS updated.
ClaimThread is a general-audience organization tool and is not directed specifically to children. If our data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before those changes apply.
